Devoted. Poetic. Citywide
I'm the freelance Graphic and Web Designer for The Sofianer, a collaborative art project that invites artists from Bulgaria to create covers for an imaginary magazine. I design and produce their exhibition assets, open calls, social media content, and marketing campaigns, alongside large-format city posters and interactive event experiences. I also built their Shopify e-commerce site and continue to support and evolve their visual identity, website, and social presence as the project grows.
Project Scope
Visual Identity · Shopify E-Commerce Website · Exhibition Design · Open Call Design · Social Media Content · Email & Marketing Campaigns · Large-Format City Posters · Interactive Event Experiences · Print & Digital Materials
Open-Air Exhibition
I designed the exhibition layouts for open-air displays at festivals across Sofia — including The Big Table of Sofia, The Yard, and The Rivers of Sofia — arranging the artists' covers, credits, and artist statements into a consistent poster format for outdoor viewing across the city.
Crystal Garden Exhibition
I designed the layout for The Sofianer's open-air exhibition in Crystal Garden, Sofia (September 4–16, 2026) — a bilingual (Bulgarian/English) installation, large-format panels, marking four years since the project began, bringing the pages of its first book out into the city. The exhibition presents a selection of the book's 72 covers by 60 contemporary Bulgarian artists, alongside introductory panels drawn from essays specially written for the publication by Georgi Gospodinov and Konstantin Valkov.
Be The Cover
A large-format interactive canvas where people could draw their own portrait onto a blank Sofianer cover, turning the crowd itself into the artwork.

Website Design & Development
I designed and built The Sofianer's full bilingual (Bulgarian/English) Shopify website. Approached it less like a typical online store and more like a curated exhibition catalogue. A black-and-white system strips away visual noise so every ounce of color impact stays with the artwork itself, while a serif wordmark and editorial pacing — full-bleed imagery, generous whitespace, tilted cover grids used as recurring motifs and section dividers — borrow more from magazine layout than e-commerce template. Product pages pair each cover with the artist's own quote and bio, turning a listing into an artist statement, while candid photography from the exhibitions and openings brings warmth and community into an otherwise refined, gallery-like structure. I edited all product photography, sourced and placed the community imagery, and designed every custom graphic asset across the Home, About, Collections, Product, Blog, and Exhibitions pages.
